Carola is a designer from Pontificia Universidad Católica’s (PUC) School of Design and a current student at the Master of Public Administration at New York University. Since receiving her degree in Design in 2004, she has been part of the Department of Typography and Information Design at PUC.
Her professional experience focuses on Information Design and qualitative research methods for Design. She has been a consultant for public services in Chile through projects such as the development of a passenger information system for Santiago’s public transport, and the re-design of the national tourism information offices. Carola also partners in Wayfinding, a design consultancy firm specialized in signage and environmental design.
Since 2011, Carola is a professor at PUC’s School of Design. During this period, Carola has also participated in the formulation of the Public Innovation Lab at Universidad Católica, a joint venture between the schools of Design, Sociology and Engineering with the Center for Public Policy and the Center for Innovation at PUC.
Carola’s main areas of interest are design for the public sector, Information Design and user research.
