One of the activities of the second version of the Diploma in Typography (2003), was the seminar “New ways for the text: typography, legibility and identity” by the dutch typographer Professor Gerard Unger.
This event consisted of 3 lectures: “The vision of the designer,” in which the most important work of the professor was exhibited; “A fresh look at the readability” where Unger approached the subject from a personal point of view, and including vision from other disciplines; and “Typography and national identity,” which dealt with the relationship between form and origin of a typeface.
