As part of the Diploma in Typography 2013, typographer Piter Bilak (Slovakia) offered different activities to the Chilean design community. In the talk “Reasons to make typefaces today” he presented his work, their inspirations and the challenges of design typefaces in the digital age. He also presented the second issue of the Work that Works magazine in the Milm2 Cultural Center. In this event Bilak gave the open conference “Social distribution” focused on the challenges and virtues of contemporary design publications. Issues such as financing, distribution, and production as key elements in self-managed projects. He also made a series of workshops and discussion sessions undergraduate UC School of Design.
